ok so

I've been using Pandora a WHOLE lot to listen to Verve Remix 2 and I love what Pandora puts out there for me - i have also been watching a lot of disney movies - i saw Julie and Julia with Liz and was pretty happy with the flick - must have been Liz's hormones working on me, but I found myself teary eyed a couple of times, even during some of the more obviously hollywood created "moments". I was quite pleased with Meryl Streep's portrayal of Julia. What I liked the most was the whole story, just the story of Julie and what she was doing...made me stop and think about my turning 40 next year - WOW

What Are Y'all Watching?

I catch an episode of Spaced when I need to unwind. It is my kind of funny!

I also have a series BBC drama habit, but I don’t want to elaborate on that in public.

What are y’all watching?

I am late to this party but Ratatat Remixes Vol. 2 is what I have rattling up and down around my ears:

Also, Neko Case’s “Middle Cyclone” and Neutral Milk Hotel’s “In the Aeroplane Over the Sea”

What y’all listening to?

Iron Carol

Grilled and Sliced

Carol and I have gotten into the habit of preparing the weeks meals (dinners and take-to-work lunches) on Sunday. Today, after a stunning grocery shopping trip to Fiesta on Wirt Rd, we came away with a new ingredient - Kale.

I know nothing about Kale other than it's a lettuce, it's a little more bitter (some say tastier) and it's supposedly more substantial than Romaine, nutrition-wise. If anyone has any Kale stories, suggestions, or cautions ...

Carol has unleashed herself upon the kitchen and created three stunning recipes for the week - think Iron Chef. I only saw her run to the computer for recipe assistance once. This, of course, doesn't surprise any of you. Carol on more than one occasion has whipped up something before your eyes for nearly all of those of you who read this blog. For me, it's still just as magical an event as when she was whippping up breakfasts and brunches for us on Burleson.
