Today, I had Chik-fil-A waffle fries from the hospital cafeteria. At the Chik-fil-A stand, they offer you Heinz ketchup packets with the Chik-fil-A logo on them; however, just past the registers is a hospital condiment station that offers Hunts ketchup packets (among other things). I thought this would be a cool opportunity to see if there was a difference.
Reading the ingredient list, there isn't much difference; Heniz uses ripe tomatos and Huntz uses vine ripened tomatos. If i'm not mistaken the order of the ingredients is an indicator of how much of that particular ingredient is in it. The second ingredient in Heniz is vinegar and the second ingredient in Huntz is high fructose corn syrup.
Indeed, the Huntz was a little sweeter. Heniz had that lovely familiar vinegar-y sting, which i imagine is what Adolph associates with the taste of vomit. While i don't enjoy vomitting, i do enjoy the sting of tomato-y vinegar. So...
Winner: Heinz.
Speaking of ketchup, I don't put it in hotdogs which is what we had at Liz and Chuck's birthday party this weekend, where the picture above was shot.
