All of this talk about the pope is reminding me that Kathy and I were in Rome not all that long ago. It feels like it has been years since I traveled abroad, but it has only been a little over 6 months. We went to the Vatican and toured St. Peter's while we were there. It is a pretty impressive place. The scale of it is very difficult to describe. Other highlights included a great Sardinian restaurant that served a mean (pun intended) wild boar, and our B&B which had a fantastic roof deck (we were the only guests). After Rome we spent a few days in Venice and then Vienna.
